Fundraiser for a Handicap Accessible Van
for George "Jordan" Haber VI

George Jordan Haber VI was born seven years ago at four months premature.  Upon feeling very ill, his mother had been diagnosed with toxemia and immediately faced an extremely urgent cesarean section in order to save her life.  Jordan made it through the arduous delivery, but was born weighing only l pound 10 ounces.  He was given a 70% chance of survival and the doctors guaranteed lifelong health problems.  After a disastrous eye surgery where Jordan had a major reaction to the anesthesia leaving him in a coma, Jordan spent the first six months of his life in the hospital before he was ever able to visit his home.  During the coma Jordan had a lack of oxygen to his brain which has left him legally blind with severe cerebral palsy.  Jordan is either confined to his bed or chair making mobility virtually impossible for him.  Jordan's only outing of the day is to and from school by the school district's handicap accessible bus.  His parents are in much need of a handicap accessible van in order to spend time as a family outside of the home.  As of now, one parent must always remain at home in order to watch and care for Jordan, making it impossible to schedule even minor outings as a family.  Although they have been faced with difficulties and challenges, the Habers do want to carry on like any other family and they are asking for your help.  Handicap accessible vans are extremely expensive but necessary in cases like the Haber's.  Thank you and God bless.

The Habers are working with the non-profit organization called Nice Guys who help families with disabled members buy wheelchair accessible vans.  A used wheelchair accessible van costs around $45,000.  Please help the Habers raise the funds needed for their little angel.

For Donations:  Please make checks payable to Nice Guys with George Jordan Haber written in the memo section.
